Currently, HTC provides residential and business data services to 2,500 locations within its network. During 2010 almost 280 miles of fiber were added and the company plans to install nearly 300 miles of fiber optic cable in the months ahead to increase its broadband capability to 100 Mbps at these locations. The rural LEC was selected to receive $11.7 million in broadband stimulus funds during August 2010 to build a network that will deliver advanced IPTV services, residential and business data services, fiber-fed mobile backhaul services, and VoIP services to previously underserved communities.
